Obama supports punishing people without Health Insurance
During an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Jake Tapper today,President Obama said that penalties are appropriate for people who try to “free ride” the health care system but stopped short of endorsing the threat of jail time for those who refuse to pay a fine for not having insurance.
“What I think is appropriate is that in the same way that everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don’t,you’re subject to some penalty,that in this situation,if you have the ability to buy insurance,it’s affordable and you choose not to do so,forcing you and me and everybody else to subsidize you,you know,there’s a thousand dollar hidden tax that families all across America are —are burdened by because of the fact that people don’t have health insurance,you know,there’s nothing wrong with a penalty.”
Under the House bill those who can afford to buy insurance and don’t’ pay a fine. If the refuse to pay that fine there’s a threat – as with a lot of tax fines – of jail time. The Senate removed that provision in the Senate Finance Committee.
Tyranny Tyranny Tyranny. The Federal government has no right or expressed powers to force American citizens to purchase any good or service. This should be an impeachable breach of the Constitution. Those who cannot afford insurance should go to jail? America,can't you feel the rope around your neck as yet?

Is he serious to compare mandatory health care to car insurance???? If you can't afford car insurance you don't own a car. I guess if we can't afford health insurance we should commit suicide and lesson the burden completely. Doesn't the govenment have a strong enough hold on us as it is with income tax having the threat of jail time. If you can't afford insurance for something you don't own it,or you take your losses if something happens to it. Way to go! Perhpas the answer is to address the cost of health care and enforce caps on these people not come at the american puplic to foot the bill no matter what the cost. I know a nurse that makes $40.00 an hour! WAKE UP!!!!
My question is does this apply to illegals?
I guess the illigals who jump the border for free health care would be exempt. Why not,they are exempt from the other penalties our law imposes on Americans.
I guess nobody here has the knowledge that Obama IS NOT running the country. Stop blaming him and look at the men behind the curtain. America is run by private bankers AKA the shadow government. Sure,be a fool and let them tell you they dont exist. Obama and his stooges do EXACTLY what they are told to do. The same thing would be happening if McCain got in office because these men have a plan to eventually chip everyone. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!
As president,obama has the final say-so –if he or any president doesn't there's something terribly wrong.
