Concerns Rise Around Obama Trip

By JONATHAN WEISMAN,Wall Street Journal

President Barack Obama arrived here late Sunday to press China on issues from climate change to economic restructuring, amid rising concerns that his first swing through Asia as president will yield more disappointment than progress on trade, human rights, national security and environmental concerns.

A flurry of actions in Singapore this weekend raised more questions than they resolved on a broad sweep of issues confronting both sides of the Pacific. On Sunday, leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum dropped efforts to reach a binding international climate-change agreement in Copenhagen next month, settling instead for what they called a political framework for future negotiations.

Mr. Obama became the first president to meet with the entire Association of Southeast Asian Nations, including the military junta of Myanmar, and White House officials say he personally demanded the country’s leaders release political prisoners, including opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi. But Mr. Obama failed to secure any mention of political prisoners in an ASEAN communiqué.

The U.S. and Russia now appear unlikely to complete a nuclear arms reduction accord by Dec. 5,when the current Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty expires.

    The American People:
I continue to read all of these news reports about Barrack Hussein Obama ,his hatred for America ,His Trashing of America and not even Honoring our War Veterans and Heroes ,and wonder When will someone credible step forward and do something.
Not just threats or promises of court cases that haven't solved anything ,not just thousnds of faxes that don't appear to do much if anything ,but real hard time pursural of getting serious about taking this Fraud of a President who continues to play President to task.
He needs to be challenged and very seriously so much so that he can feel threatened about losing office if he continues to carry on this charade of which he cannot prove he deserves or is qualified for.
Please someone step up ,take charge and get this imposter out of office.
    Thank you

      Roger,

You are right on the money. Alan Keyes was a prophet, saying,"he (BHO) is a radical comunist who wants to destroy America. Keyes also said BHO was NOT a citizen as required by the constitution. I believe, sadly, that this is going to get ugly, and wind up in the streets. I pray, really pray, that for the good of America,God calls him to his eternal rest, asap.

Hadn't heard about that Sadie on Joe the Plumber email address. I had heard his remarks about spreading the wealth during "OOO's"campaign though. Most Americans didn't perceive what that all meant at the time. It all sounded so good. They must not of,he was elected.

  • Oh,and one other remark. "OOO"seems to fit in real well with the Red Chinese Communists. He's among his comrades, for he is one of them.
