Rules of engagement killing U.S. soldiers

By F. Michael Maloof,WND

Obama’s new rules put our soldiers at greater risk

New military rules of engagement ostensibly to protect Afghan civilians are putting the lives of U.S. forces in jeopardy, claim Army and Marine sources,as the Taliban learns the game plan based the rules’imposed limits.

The rules of engagement,or ROEs,apply to all coalition forces of the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Their enactment is in response to Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s complaints over mounting civilian deaths apparently occurring in firefights.

Despite the fact that the newly arrived U.S. commander in Afghanistan,General Stanley McChrystal, imposed the more restrictive ROEs to minimize the killing of innocent civilians, however, the Taliban is well aware of them and has its own forces acting in ways to counteract them.

The impact of new restrictions has created increasing frustration and concern among U.S. Army and Marine Corps troops who now are compelled to follow these rules despite the danger of letting the Taliban live to fight again another day.

Typical….American Life is cheap I guess. Sen Kerry,is the biggest problem…War is not to be polically correct. It is hell and needs to be avoided, but Kerry and clan are making it not effective…

Yes,Mitch, typical, but totally unnecessary. I wonder what would have happened if the forces that stormed ashore in France had been under those same (damnedable) ROEs? Most of us know what happened in Vietnam (pilot reports of bombs being dropped on "clean"areas alongside of the Ho Chi Minh Trail as the convoys moved south, for example). If we have to have our service men and women in harms way, lets take the binders off and allow them to do the job they are there to do –let's get more of them back home safe and sound. Get the politics and the politicians out of the fray –most of them couldn't defend themselves against a rabid dog, including "Mr"Kerry,et al.

This is WAR! What the hell does the govt. know about fighting a war? Leave the fighting to the soldiers.
Thanks Nobama and the rest of the govt. "clan"for the help in killing our
soldiers, instead of getting the job done fast!

+ITS very unfortunate that the politicans in Washington who don't seem to know anything about the probleems of the world now want to tell the men fighting in Afganastan how to fight a war. Mr. Obama and his crew need to keep out of the war and allow the men over there to do their job of ending the war as they see fit. You can't help that a civilian gets killed once in a while consider the world trade center when over 3,000 of our civilians were killed and not accidently but on purpose. the taliban hide with in the civilians and our troops need to kill them or be killed. Get political ideas out of Afghanastan

  • Imagine if the revolutionary war had been fought with ROEs,we would still be British subjects. Of course the Indian wars would have turned out different too,and there would not be any we to be British subjects. Obama and company,(DUMB ARE US) have done everything they can to insure our men and women take a beating. Do you suppose thats is because he is A MUSLIM? I SAW A PICTURE ON THE INTERNET WHERE HE IS REMOVING HIS SHOES TO PRAY WITH A GROUP OF MUSLIMS. The story line is that it is in the White House when he had his Muslim convention, but the background says that is not true. He should recluse himself from all military matters as it is apparent there is a conflict of interest.

These ROE's were onviously prepared in advance of Obama's "ordination"by his NWO handlers…as were most of the other "draconian"measures that have materialized in the past 12 mos…for the purpose of tilting the playing field in favor of the jihadist vermin and "ramping up"US/NATO casualties. Interestingly…the actual ROEs are said to be classified U.S. and NATO secrets…but they find there way into the hands of the enemy…probably leaked by design by our own government. Clearly the administration and the military "chain of command"must be held accountable for what amounts to treasonable acts against US armed forces.

  • I'll repeat this in case anyone missed my link. It's important that this man be removed soon before he completely destroys America.

The rats better run!! 2010 and 2012 are coming! If we want a free country we must get rid of the enemy within and its shadow govt. What fools we've allowed to be elected. All we have to do to allow evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing!! Well,we see the results of that. Better vote while you still can.

If the "friendlies"really want the Taliban and al Qaeda out of their countries, give them all the guns and ammo they need and let our soldiers fight this war from the air!! Screw the collateral damage!!! How many civilians died in the US's Civil War???

  • [...] is a big responsibility,Americans have fought and died for yours, and continue to do so. Today,we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but [...]
