"The economy may be growing and the recession may be over,but on Main Street,people who are unemployed are not happy and people who are worried about being unemployed are not happy,"said Peter Brown,assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
Only 44 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama’s handling of the economy,compared with 59 percent in February,when he signed the $787 billion stimulus package,according to National Journal’s Pollster.com.
Support for Mr. Obama’s handling of his marquee health care initiative,now nearing final approval in Congress,stands at 41 percent –down from 57 percent in February.
Democratic leaders and the White House have suggested that the lack of public backing for the health care bill will change once it has been passed and blame Republicans for spreading misinformation about what’s in the legislation. Republicans,meanwhile,are banking on voter opposition to the plan to hold firm throughout next year.
Democratic pollster Tom Jensen said he doubts Mr. Obama will see any short-term gain from signing health care reform into law,arguing that independents and Republicans who overwhelmingly oppose the bill are not likely to be swayed.
Well I hate to say it but next year things are going to get even worse for the unemployed. This will occur when Barack Hussein Obama grants amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens. Currently 7 million Americans are unemployed while 8 million jobs are occuppied by illegal aliens. Those jobs could become availible IF we enforced our immigration laws. But instead of enforcing our laws and "saving or creating"8 million jobs,Obama wants to give your jobs away to criminals forever!!! Good luck stopping him too!!!

Simple! Obama's plan is to ultimately bring America to its knees and under Leftist control by any and all means! First,he hoped to get Obummer Care and Cap and Trade passed by using his majority in both houses of Congress. Then,knowing amnesty will be harder (who wants his own Mexican to keep and cherish,like so many Victims expect to get more and more health care)? Not much support there,especially from out of work people!!!
Therefore,he will ram it through,or even use Executive Orders —ANYTHING it takes to get it the law of the land. Because he and the Dems will then have an absolutely bulletproof voter majority Forever!!! Think he's worried about our threats to replace the Leftists in Congress in 2010? Not on your tintype. Not with ACORN standing by to register 12 million new voters and motor them to the polls next November. No other explanation makes any sense whatsoever!

Marlys you are right thats what i've been telling everyone . Those Acorns should of been taken care of a long time ago. I blame the republicans in Washington for allowing them to exist as they should of taken care of that problem at the very beginning.
