The top official in charge of analyzing terror threats did not cut short his ski vacation after the underwear bomber nearly blew up an airliner on Christmas Day, the Daily News has learned.
Michael Leiter, director of the National Counterterrorism Center since 2007, decided not to return to his agency’s "bat cave" nerve center in McLean, Va., until several days after Christmas, two U.S. officials said.
"People have been grumbling that he didn’t let a little terrorism interrupt his vacation," said one of the sources.
The NCTC, the post-9/11 clearinghouse for intelligence to detect terror plots against the U.S., is under intense scrutiny for failing to "connect the dots" on Nigerian bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
Leiter’s spokesman declined to say when the terror-center chief returned to Washington and fully retook the helm of his analysis agency, which is near CIA headquarters just outside the nation’s capital.

This is all deliberate not just a careless watching of America's safety. This guy and others; including Napolitano should be FIRED. Congress needs to ACT but with the DEMS in charge, we won't see that happen.

When are the American people goint ot wake up and realize that obama is a terrorist leader himself? Wake up people before it is too late to save our great nation. We claim to be Americans who believe in our Constituition and Bill of Rights so let's band together and take this guy, and his cadre of mindless robots, out of power now …… by whatever means are required.

Since o has sent some of the Gitmo detainees back to Yemen, they are going to teach the younger ones what to do. He said "We will send no more back to Yemen" thus admitting they had sent some of the terrorists to Yemen. o wants the US to fade away in history, he has told other countries he apologizes for what we did to help them and/or stop their atrocities. He is letting them think we are subserviant to them and they are superior. Remember "IN GOD WE TRUST" and we have to because o is sending us to hell in a handbasket that he is weaving fast. BTW o is listed with a small letter because that is what I consider him.
If he had nothing to hide, he would have produced the original birth certificate up front, he would not have tried to hide the fact he got a foreign student loan for one of the colleges here in the US. If he was an American then he is guilty of fraud, if he is a foreigner, then he is not eligible for President.
