This Lt. Col wants Obama to prove his eligibility
A decorated active duty Army medical officer,Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin (selected for promotion to Colonel),is calling upon his chain of command and his Congressional delegation to force President Obama to release his original birth certificate. He is the highest ranking officer to go public over this controversy and in late February,was notified that he is subject to near-term deployment to Afghanistan.
His military orders include a requirement that he provide "copies of his birth certificate."LTC Lakin is prepared to provide a certified copy of his certification of vital record that lists his birth hospital,physician’s name and other key information. He has provided this document for many other required processes,such as his commissioning into the military as an officer,and his marriage license.
Lakin has earned the distinction of taking care of many Admirals and Generals since working at the Pentagon,where he serves as Chief of Primary Care and Flight Surgeon for the DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic and is the lead Flight Surgeon charged with caring for Army Chief of Staff General Casey’s pilots and air crew. LTC Lakin’s numerous awards and decorations include the Army Flight Surgeon Badge,Combat Medical Badge,the Bronze Star Medal,the Meritorious Service Medal,the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters,the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters,the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star,the Armed Forces Expedition Medal,the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal,the Army Service Ribbon,the Overseas Service Ribbon sixth award and the NATO service medal. He has served previously in Honduras,Bosnia,Korea,and Afghanistan.
LTC Lakin,a native of Colorado whose residency is Tennessee,has explained to his superiors that he cannot understand how his Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution does not allow military officers to pursue proof of eligibility from the Commander-in-Chief. In fact,efforts on his part to seek affirmation of the President’s constitutional eligibility have been met with legal evasions. Yet in an open and free society,and especially given Obama’s governmental "transparency"initiative,many American citizens are demanding to know the truth.
So glad some body in a power position is finally taking a stand,the general public has been doing it for quite a while now,perhaps this will be resolved.

Even if he shows his birth certificate and he is truly born in Hawaii,he was raised in Indonesia and attended a madrassa and enrolled as an Indonesian citizen. He went to Pakistan in the 1980s,but American Passport woulde not allow him to enter Pakistan at that time,so which passport did he use? I insist that all his records have to be required. I don't believe he is an American,and he really needs to prove his nationality,or he cannot run for a second term…which truly would be a good thing.

As a Officer of the Arm forces he is to obey a direct order if it is a lawful order. If it is unlawful he can be held responible for carrying out a unlawful order weather direct or written. A President who is holding office illegally is a unlawful Commander-in-Chief. Yes the LTC Lakin could be punished but once it is proved Obama is not legal to hold the office they will be open to a law sue. You do have to show a long form birth Certificate to get in miliarty and get a driver License in most states and to get a passport. It is interesting that all those records are being kept from being reviewed. Also Obama should have been checked by Congress after winning to see if he meet the requirements of the Constitution that was not done because the democratic was in power they wanted a Democratic President by what ever means they could use.

I don't know if Obama is a natural born American citizen or not. I do know that the document that is referred to by all of the Obama Zombies as being proof of his place of birth would not qualify him for a drivers license in the State of New Mexico. When we moved to New Mexico from CA in order to get a New Mexico drivers license I had to produce my Social Security card which I misplaced years ago. I presented a document similar to Obama's and was told I had to contact my place of birth and get a copy of my actual birth certificate. If everything is on the up and up,why the secrets?

A member of the military is sworn to uphold the Constitution and therefore he must take orders only from a legitimate Commander in Chief. The President must be qualified under the terms of our Constitution. Usurpers are excluded.

His first Executive Order #13489 signed the first full day of Presidency essentially prevents any of his records from being released to the public without going through him first. What is he hiding? There is not one good reason for his not leveling with the American people. Not only is his birth origin at question,but he has sealed all of his scholastic records,passport information,and a host of other data which other presidents have submitted.

The president did not order LTC Lakin to Afghanistan,his immediate superiors did –probably a colonel or a general. Will LTC Lakin need to see their qualifications as well? Does he also show his birth certificate and orders of promotion to everyone he gives an order to? Sounds cumbersome.
His refusal to obey orders will put him in custody for as long as it takes to court martial him. By then his 15 minutes will be over.

As a ret USAF/TSgt I applaude this officer for standing up on principle,but as a realist I know full well that he is headed for retirement ASAP. This challenge against the pretender to the presidency will never see the light of day in a court. Obama has hidden every vital record from Birth Certificate,Passport,Student Loan,Tavel Visa and other documents behind an brick wall. The democrat part will spend every resource to insure that this does not come to light until years after his adjenda as been forced upon the American Citizens. I do not dispute that he is a citizen of the United States,but I also dispute the fact that he is qualified to be president under the Constution of the United States. Here is Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as President of the United States:

I don't consider myself a 'birther'because I reserve judgment until I see proof. If we peons must have an original birth certificate to get a driver's license (true in Florida) and to get a passport and other things as well,what is wrong with requiring our president to produce his to prove he is eligible to BE our president. As a former service member,I had to obey orders from those designated over me regardless of my personal feelings for or about them.
If our Admiral was a raving mad man and ordered me torpedo an ocean liner filled with civilians because he had a gripe
with the cruise line over an unpleasant vacation experience,that would constitute an unlawful order,and I would be obliged to disobey it. In this case,Lt. Col. Lakin was not directly ordered by the President to do any heinous or illegal act such as I described. He was directed by the Army,not individually by the President to deploy. The Army could have just as easily ordered him to transfer to another base here in the U.S. Would he have been as adamant if the order had been to a hospital in some cushy stateside post?
We as service members do not have the right to refuse combat (or potential combat) assignments,or any other assignments or orders to conduct operations simply because think there is some irregularity in the chain of command or because we don't like or respect our commanders. Under the logic he is using,he could theoretically refuse to obey any order given to him just because he believes Obama is illegitimate,regardless of who in the Army's chain of command gave him that order.
