Col. Lakin is going to be court-martialed
An Army doc who refuses to go to Afghanistan until President Obama produces a birth certificate will face court-martial.
Lt. Col. Terry Lakin,a decorated military man who has become a part of the fringe “birther”movement –which believes President Obama was not born in the United States –could face a dishonorable discharge for failing to obey orders,MSNBC reported on Tuesday.
The 18-year veteran came out in support of the largely discredited conspiracy theorists at the end of March,proclaiming he would “disobey”his “illegal”orders to deploy.
“I believe all servicemen and women,and the American people,deserve the truth about President Obama’s constitutional eligibility to the office of the presidency and the commander in chief,”he said in a video statement posted on YouTube on March 30.
The Bronze Star Medal recipient refuses to go to Afghanistan for a second tour until Obama releases his birth certificate showing he was,in fact,born in the U.S.
“Seeking out public office,especially the highest in our land,means you must uphold the Constitution,Mr. President,and confirm your eligibility,”Lakin said in the video.
Editors Note:this story is from the New York Daily News. As such the comments that the eligibility issue is already settled or that this theory has been discredited represent their views not our. Expose Obama has joined with others leading the charge to have Obama settle the issue by releasing his records. Until those records are released the issue is far from settled.
It is a travesty. LTC Lankins should not be court martialed. Whoever let Obama on the ballot without obtaining his birth certificate is responsible for this mess. Who is that person. How did a person with no birth certifical verification get on the ballot. It is a requirement for the position of President of the United States. If he did not verify his birth as required then he is not eligible even to run for the position. Find the person responsible and fire them,then Obama needs to do what he should have done several years ago and provide the necessary information. Where is the legal council who is responsible for this travesty?

Thank you for this Cathy. I have heard that Nancy Pelosi is one of the persons who checks the credentials of a presidential candidate. My problem with all of this is "How come Obama feels he does not have to abide with the rules or laws of the land. He certainly has been putting money out to keep his records closed. All of that money could go to help another non-profit organization or even the earthquake victims. Then of course,there is congress. Shame,shame on them for not abiding by

Violation of Article 93,of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) for disobedience of a lawful order,and
Violation of Article 88,UCMJ,for Using contemptuous words against the President of the US,and
Violation of Article 133,UCMJ,for Conduct Unbecoming a Commissioned Officer,and probably should be charged with

As a retired Army Officer I say there is no excuse for LTC Lakin and he should most certainly be court martialed. This absurd "birther"blather is no excuse for his refusal to serve. I suggest that Ex-Army look at that HI newspaper birth announcement again. He will see that nowhere in that announcement does it say WHERE Obama was born. Yes,it "confirms"Obama was born –and that's it. It doesn't say he was born in HI,and it doesn't say he was born to two American citizens. The announcement gives the names of Mr and Mrs.,their address and states a boy was born to them on Aug 4 –period.
I have read several sources that claim that HI was then and still is a "welfare state". The reason Gov. The important issue everyone is overlooking here is that under international law,members of the military serving in war can be held personally responsible for their actions if their sovereign commander in cheif is not a valid authority.
How would you like to see your loved one charged with murder and war crimes for simply doing his duty and trying to stay alive on the battlefield? Property damage caused in battle could assessed against the soldiers involved as they are deemed acting of their own will,and not under the authority of a "principal". It's all smoke and mirrors –was Obama born in Hawaii,or Kenya? Even given that he was in fact born in Hawaii,the fact remains that he attended a muslim school in Indonesia. Indonesian law prohibits non citizens from attending school. He therefore had to become an Indonesian citizen. Further,Indonesia does not recognize dual citizenship,which means he therefore had to relinquish his U.S. citizenship to attend school. This all ultimately means that he would now have to be a naturalized citizen,overriding his Hawaii birth,and therefore ineligible to be President.
