The Radio Patriot
Last night on his TV show,Glenn Beck dropped another bombshell — on Thursday,Congress will take up a bill to make Peurto Rico a state. Why is our Congress doing this now? Secretly? Quickly? If it hadn’t been for one of Beck’s “Refounders” (a Congressional insider),would we even know about this? Wy is this important to you and me?
Well, the word is out,and my local 9-12/Tea party organization sent this out this morning. First thing to hit my mailbox,in fact…
There is a bill to make Puerto Rico a state. Again, they are trying to pull one over on us and on Puerto Ricans, who have consistently said they do not want to become a state. Read below for more information (from Eagle Forum). This was also discussed by Rep Tom Price on a conference call yesterday.
Please consider this:
* The U.S. would transform, overnight, into a bilingual nation. At least half of Puerto Ricans do not speak English, the language of our U.S. Constitution and founding documents. The Washington Times article,“Puerto Rican statehood,” analyzes all the implications of adding a foreign language-speaking state to the Union.
* It would bring immediate demands for massive federal spending. The average income of Puerto Ricans is less than half that of our poorest state, and infrastructure and the environment are far below American standards. Puerto Rico has a population with a median national income of $17,741,nearly a third of that for the U.S.
* Puerto Rico is already a democracy. Despite the bill’s deceptive title,Puerto Rico already has an elected government and exists as a self-governed commonwealth of the U.S.
* Statehood would give Puerto Rico more congressional representation than 25 of our 50 states! It would inevitably give Democrats two additional U.S. Senators and 6 to 8 additional Members of the House.
H.R. 2499 is stealth legislation designed to lead to the admission of Spanish-speaking Puerto Rico as the 51st state, thereby making us a de facto bilingual nation, like Canada. The U.S. Congress should not be forcing Puerto Ricans to vote on statehood, especially since the Puerto Rican people have rejected statehood three times since 1991!
well looky there…pushing things on people that have already said NO—same thing he did with healthcare and who knows what else????? they can't play fair-or they lose! they have to cheat!

Yep,I agree, idiots just do not get the message. .Just why in the hell do we need more people speaking spanish???? Can anybody tell me??? NO,of course not. Those people down there do not want to be a state,so why force it upon them??? Oh,I forgot, sorry, the democrats need more voters on their side, right? Well, too bad,so sad, dear lad!

Does anyone out there remember when Puerto Rican separatists, anarchists and terrorists shot up the Blair house and congress. The murder and wounding of police officers and more…Eric Holder pardoned them and let them out of prison….
We have enough people here now that don't take care of themselves and want a hand out ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! Close all of our borders and stop immigration all together!
I doubt, that closing borders, will keep people from "Puerto Rico U.S.A",from coming to the States because, they are U.S citizens,by birth.
Let's Take Action,"No"to H.R. 2499

Exactly, more slaves. Just as the first slave holders did:don't teach them how to read for these times how to speak English so they can't understand their rights or make informed choices.
We are blessed to be in-laws to the Hispanic culture and privileged to have friends and co-workers that are Hispanic. My husband and I have made it our pleasure to pass out pocket constitutions in Spanish and English to all our acquaintances. At first some scoffed and said "They should be reading it in English". Those sceptics soon changed their tune when they realized by comparing the two languages side by side, that the true meaning is learned. We have discussions on all issues, local and national. We are learning history alongside one another as this opens the door for all topics in the news.
Even my 5 yr. old grand daughter is learning and she is patient when she teaches me the Spanish words.
The States have stopped giving citizenship classes for the new legal immigrants who have waited and want to be here. I hate to think of the Puerto Ricans who don't want to be a part of the U.S.,being forced into it,to get votes.
If we had some legislators who had a set….one would step forward and initiate IMPEACHMENT charges against OBAMA,REID &PELOSI,for continually violating our Constitution. This outfit has turned it's back on American idealism and freedom of choice as they continue to ram things down our throats. It's time we rammed it back.
