The nervy Marxists who run our lives have given themselves the power to decide who is and who is not too fat to receive government healthcare benefits. Under a new law signed by Obama our medical records will include our height and weight and our Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine if we are obese by government standards.
BMI will be part of our permanent electronic health record and will be available for inspection “with appropriate security measures–on a national exchange.” In other words a clerk (union member of course) who was hired because he or she was otherwise unemployable could look at our private medical records and stamp “LARD ASS” on the folder jacket.
This change won’t happen right away. These things never do happen overnight. The plan aims to have all of this in place by 2014 in time for the Death Panels to use BMI to ration health care made scarce by Obama’s Socialized medicine scheme.
Cloaked in the official sounding name of “electronic health records” (EHRs) and hidden in the 2009 economic stimulus law,this plot requires health care providers to practice what these newspeak artists call “meaningful use” of electronic records.
In order words your doctor or any hospital or clinic,you go to,will be required to establish a BMI for you so it can be used in determining your future.
It takes one to know one .
Under these regulations we could have someone like the corpulent current Surgeon General Regina Benjamin who seems to stuff a lot of woman into her fancy uniform,measuring our waist and lecturing us about those extra helpings of mashed potatoes.
Presumably with a straight face,General Benjamin explained the need for such paternalism by saying “BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems.”
BMI is "bull-shit"Great idea to punish those who are lean with muscle weight. But,with their high BMI they are obese!!
What are they going to do about all those queers who have unprotected but sex and spread aids?? What are they going to about the queers,the coke heads and the idiots that keep getting shot up from running the streets. That`s is what costing us so much in health care!

This is the consequence of getting involved in insurance schemes,you have reduced yourself to an article of property,the surety that now owns your body is regulating it (by contract) so as to insulate its bank account from your abuses of it,which will cost them money in your health care costs. Whoever pays your bills owns you. This is the same reason we are required to tie ourselves in our automobiles,which has absolutely nothing to do with preventing accidents. That is why smoking is forbidden also.
If you paid your own doctor bill,who cares what you do to your body as long as it does not affect another.

We got to get back to the basics…THe government controls the international borders,watching international air and sea travel,and keep the STATES from quarreling too much. PERIOD.

Well,on the plus side,there may be a little poetic justice here. Consider that it is likely that a majority of those who live unhealthy lifestyles (particularly the under 40 generation) voted for Obama and his group of socilists –they will someday wake up and find they're the ones getting cut out of the program they helped put in place. Much (and I understand not all) of the obesity problem stems from lack of self-discipline in matters of eating and exercise. Unfortunately,those who have true medical problems along these lines will unjustly suffer as well. I hope it's not too late for Americans to wake up.
All you who voted him in and are enjoying your couch potato benefits –you better get up your fat behinds and get a job and get-a-movin! Regretting your vote yet?
