Paul LePage is the Republican candidate for governor of Maine. He is currently mayor of Waterville,and he is no fan of President Obama. At a recent meeting,he told a fisheries forum,as governor,he would stand up to this out-of-control administration. A new poll shows LePage now in a statistical dead-heat with Democrat Libby Mitchell. According to local media,LePage has “regrets the choice of words,but isn’t backing down on the message saying he will stand up to the Obama administration.”His campaign website is here.

Although I agree with the sentiment and with tough talk about the obummer,I would rather "the right"would stick to the issues rather than stoop to base language. Harry Truman "gave 'em hell",he didn't say "Go to hell". Mr. LePage should remember that his audience or support system is basically conservative and believes in strong moral character. That does not include cussing.
I agree. It makes him look like a wingnut and gives the liberal media footage to run and paint him as an exstremist when it is really obozo that is the extremist.
We are trying to do the same thing here in Wyoming with Write-in Candidate,Taylor Haynes. This man is the best hope for Wyoming,and possibly the country.

In case liberals don't understand there is a vernacular meaning to "go to hell". Perhaps to some the first thing that comes to mind is that he meant it literally,and wishes Obama to actually take the trip to his buddy Stalin,oh I meant Satin. See,going to see Stalin would be like going to heaven for Obama,at least most of his administration thinks of him or Mao as "their favorite political philospher".
No as much as he would have like to have meant it literaly,he meant it as "go away and don't come back". Like when a bully comes in and tries to take your popcorn you look up and say,"go to hell".
So it might be more literally translated as "I will have him run out of town and keep him out". Oh darn,liberals won't know what town is,that mean out of Washignton and maybe out of eye and ear sight of any decent folks.
