Floyd and Mary Beth Brown,FloydReports.com

It has been a busy week in presidential politics. With Barack Obama gaining only a minimal boost from the slaying of Osama bin Laden,it is now obvious to Republicans considering a run that he is vulnerable.

Republicans have a crowded field, but an impressive group of candidates. Here is our ranking of their prospects and the latest news.

We believe that if he chooses to run, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is the odds on favorite to win the Republican nomination. Huckabee has been quiet, but some impressive reports have surfaced.

First,it is reported that if he runs,Ronald Reagan’s confident and 1984 campaign manager,Ed Rollins, has signed on as manager and chief strategist. Huckabee, who came in second to John McCain four years ago after winning the Iowa caucuses, will be well served by an experienced manager like Rollins. Rollins has eluded that he has a team of experienced people on standby for Governor Huckabee.

Also this week, the new website prayforhuckabee.com went online. On the website Governor Huckabee sounds more like a candidate….

I am sorry, but I don't think Romney,or Huckabee, could beat Obama. I would like to see Trump, along with either Bachman,or Palin as a running mate. We need people who have the guts to stand up to the Democrats,&as far as I can tell, these three are the only ones who fit the bill.

Bor-ing. These guys are putting their own egos first —look at me —I'm running for president —at a time when they ought to stay home or help work for a candidate who would beat obama. We lost with Dole and with McCain. Bush 1 lost second time. We came damn close to losing his first time. People do not want these tired, old faces. 2012 is it —we get a real conservative in there,or BO finishes killing the country.

Bachmann,Bolton,Caine,DeMint,Palin,Perry,Walker,West —those are the people who can generate excitement, win, and turn the country around. It's just ego on the part of these tired, old, professional pols, but the media will push 'em as if they're McCain in 2008. If they would get their faces offstage, the candidates we really need would see the need and step forward.

But it's not going to happen with 4 or 5 boring old Washington insiders.

Exactly. Besides what I already wrote,I agree with you that we need courageous, unafraid patriots who will point out the corruption of the last few years. Backmann and Palin are excellent choices. The left and the media are terrified of Palin;their heads will explode if she waits and lets all the boring guys take the media punishment and then steps in just before the primaries. Winning!

I think that Governor Huckabee would be an honerable President and a great leader for our country. He knows how to speak up to people as well as talk to people. He speaks up to let people know when he does not agree and does so without insulting them. I know that he would not let other countries insult and disrespect our country and he would not go all over the world and apologize for our country. Our military has shed blood so that other countries could be free and our country has given food and equipment as needed. There are countries that owe us money and I am sure we well never see it again, but the worst thing is that these countries call us fools for our for these gifts. Yes,I think that Governor Huckabee would be a great president that would bring honor back to our great country.

Barack Obama will be a one term President. People have caught on to his phony "I'm for you theme song"while taking vacations, making smartass comments about the border and not being transparent with the American people.

    1. The "gig is up"for Barack &Michelle Obama. Finally the people have had enough. They have been exposed and the voters can see through the inaccurate facade these two are portraying.

    2. How can you support Obama in good conscience? http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/does-it-bog…

    3. Is Barack Obama a serial liar! The facts are in! Yes! He will tell us anything to keep his ratings up and to get re-elected. He is a pure narcissistic person with an arrogant inferiority complex.
