Herman Cain Says Obama’s Impeachment Would be “A Great Thing”

Ben Johnson,The White House Watch

Another Republican presidential candidate has signed on to the impeach Obama movement. Politico reported today that former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain has said impeaching President Barack Obama “would be a great thing to do.”

Cain made his comments during a conference call with bloggers on Tuesday evening.

The long shot candidate said he believed impeachment would be unlikely to occur “because the Senate is controlled by Democrats,”so Republicans “would never be able to get the Senate first to take up that action, because they simply don’t care what the American public thinks.”

He described Democratic control as the main “stumbling block in terms of getting [Obama] impeached on a whole list of things, such as trying to pass a health care mandate which is unconstitutional, ordering the Department of Justice to not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act — that’s an impeachable offense right there. The president is supposed to uphold the laws of this nation.”

His rival, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, similarly warned Obama of impeachment over his refusal to enforce DOMA. Gingrich quickly moved to reverse himself, saying,“impeachment is clearly not an appropriate action.”Cain earned nearly four-times the number of votes as Gingrich in last weekend’s Ames Straw Poll.

Do not impeach Obama, since this would essentially confirm his qualification to be President, preserve his legislative record.
Remove him for his lack of constitutional qualification, which will wipe out his entire legislative record, disqualify him from federal protection and retirement pay.

Unfortunately not so. Presidential signature on Bills is decoration. 10 days after a Bill passes both Chambers of Congress,it is law. The POTUS has that long to veto it and send it back.

According to legal experts, you can’t impeach a usurper. So the usurper should be arrested and removed, and so should all of his illegal appointees. Whether the bills he signed are valid or void can be argued. One could argue that the laws were not valid because they were never presented to a legitimate President for consideration under Article I,Section 7,Clause 2.

The moment Herman Cain denounces the Federal Reserve System he used to work for,he will regain a lot of credibility. Until then……

I love Herman Cain,I'd vote for him in a "heartbeat". He's got more common sense and scrupples than any 10 lawyer-trained Republicrats.

There are none so blind as those who choose not to see the handwriting on the long term results of Obamas arrogant Executive Order abuse ,besides other less than wise subterfuge political endorsements that are hurting America from coast to coast. we are seeing and experiencing repurcussions in almost every decision that he is endorsing. God help all of us.

Impeachment, then prosecution. Life in Leavenworth is too good for him,but it would do.

Any possibility of seeing a Perry/Cain ticket in 2012? Not only do I think they would be eminently electable,as opposed to Ron Paul or Michelle Bachmann (God bless them both),but a Perry/Cain ticket would give the state run Socialist media fits. They couldn't screech that Perry was rascist, they couldn't claim the ticket was inexperienced in government or business and both candidates are U.S. citizens that will release their personal data. It would be really tough spinning any believable lies about them that anyone other than union stooges, entitlement slaves or Marxist Kool-aid drinkers would swallow. Just a thought.
