WASHINGTON (Official Wire) — The author of an anti-tax increase pledge signed by nearly every Republican in Congress says he’s not hurting the GOP’s election chances this fall.
Anti-tax activist Grover Norquist is frequently vilified by Democrats as the reason it’s been so hard for Washington to reach a bipartisan deficit-cutting deal.
Norquist met privately Thursday with a small group of House Republicans and dozens of GOP aides.
