This Senator is quoting "facts"supplied by a rabid anti-gun group. No one questioned her facts &the media never followed up asking questions. The supposed data or facts this anti-gun group has supplied this state Senator,are probably not able to be supported by actual verifiable facts and/or other empirical evidence. This is a tactic being used by many politicians today. They quote some activist group or groups 'study',and then they use that as reasoning for whatever the latest cause in that such politicians are pushing. Yet once questioned,once required to supply evidence of such a study &/or once such studies are examined carefully,what is discovered in the study is made up. Its facts are a compilation of data that is contextually out of context &many of the facts never exist in any study by any reputable organization.
Many of the rabid activist groups do studies &then other fellow activist groups support such studies &they all use each other as some sort of professional confirmation of such studies. But all it is are like minded activist groups creating false data for each other to confirm,to support,to verify,and then push on the public,but with no actual facts on the specific issue at hand. Its reprehensible to use these false studies as "evidence"to support many of the radical activist actions that many politicians are pushing on the public,all in the name of social justice or public good,when its really all about political power &control of the message &legal system.
