Despite scientific evidence to the contrary, much of the political left continues to buy into the narrative that humans are destroying the planet. In response,a niche market of “green”products has emerged, offering consumers piece of mind at a premium.
While some of these goods have found a stable marketplace and perform as well as the products they replace, some entrepreneurs seem to be trying too hard. Such is the case with a seller on a popular website devoted to handmade crafts.
According to her listing on Etsy.com,one woman has “finally perfected the handmade washable tampons!”The crocheted articles are made primarily of bamboo and the manufacturer claims they are “safer to use”than store-bought brands.
The real appeal of this product,of course,is its purported positive environmental impact.
“What a great way to start your efforts to ‘go green,’”the listing asserts before instructing women to apply the invention with “a disposable lollipop stick available from the craft store,if desired.”
In fact, much of the description is devoted to the application and cleaning process, which is mapped out in excruciating detail. The environmental aspect, however, emerges again in the customer review section.
One purchaser was glad to be “doing something good for my body and the environment.”
Today’s environmental extremists adhere to a green agenda that takes priority over everything else in their lives. With only flawed, anecdotal evidence to support their mission, these radicals continue to keep the faith —even replacing the most intimate of products with a bamboo sock and a stick.
Meanwhile,Al Gore continues to rake in the dough, living his lavish lifestyle while telling everyone else what they are doing wrong.
