School To Students: You Can’t Celebrate America

The U.S. public school system has become increasingly intolerant of American patriotism in its singular goal of embracing multiculturalism and diversity. While the mission of accepting those from different backgrounds might sound noble on the surface, the recent decision by administrators at one Colorado high school illustrates how insane the politically correct climate has become.

According to reports, a group of students at Fort Collins High School – which, for those keeping track, is within the U.S. – wanted to celebrate their country with a special day during Spirit week. After proposing “Merica Monday,” a day during which students would be encouraged to wear patriotic clothing, the student organizers quickly learned their idea had been rejected.

One student recalled that administrators “said they didn’t want to offend anyone from other countries or immigrants.”

Such rationalization disregards the fact that if a family chooses to reside in America, its members should want to celebrate this nation’s rich heritage of freedom and liberty. The United States blossomed through immigration and assimilation, which created a melting pot of various ethnicities and nationalities all celebrating the unparalleled opportunity of their new home.

Today’s leftists, however, want to create a balkanized landscape of individuals clinging to their country of origin, suggesting any sign of patriotism is somehow a slight toward other cultures.

“It’s bizarre and idiotic that we’ve come to this crossroads in our society that we are having to sacrifice our own culture and belief system,” one parent explained, adding that it “got our blood boiling.”

Disappointed but undeterred, the students developed another, more inclusive theme: “My Country Monday.” Outrageously, school administrators turned down that request, too.

Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of the entire ordeal is the fact that students in the same American school are compelled to participate in May 5 Mexican celebrations. The same minds that decided this was an appropriate assignment felt a voluntary show of American pride demonstrated some sort of discrimination.

After outraged journalist Todd Starnes contacted the school, administrators relented and decided to allow “My Country Monday.” Still, the very thought of students celebrating the U.S.A. is a concept utterly foreign to those in charge of the nation’s leftist educational system.

Considering the indoctrination students are being forced to endure, there is no question that the destructive ethos of political correctness will only be more prevalent in future generations. Unless parents become involved and proactive in their children’s education, the left can and will win the future through expert use of such propaganda.

These so-called school administrators call them selves Americans, yeah right. This is nothing more than “subliminal indoctrination” to destroy this nation. I wonder after they do their dirty work and succeed, what Country will we call ourselves? and what language do we earn to speak? If we pierce this veil of encouragement I’m sure we will find subversive origins.

School teachers, on the average, are about 11 yrs old.
To stop this crap, a large group of parents need to join together…call the local TV station to meet them at the Principal’s Office to have a chat.

I HAVE confronted principals before (as an individual).
When my daughter turned 14 yrs old, her brains fell out. I was driving 2 blocks to take her to school and I watched her walk in the front door. I was there at 3:00 p.m. to pick her up to go home.

One morning, I had just walked back in the house from taking my daughter to school when the principal of the school called me. He was going to turn me in to Child Protective Services because she walked out the back door to skip school as soon as I dropped her off.

I went off on him, “Mr. _____”, I watch my daughter walk into your school every morning then I drive 2 blocks to go home. Once she is IN your school, she is YOUR responsibility. IF you EVER call me again because you are “allowing” children to walk out the backdoor, I’ll met with you with WFAA TV and FOX News and we’ll have a chat how you are irresponsible and can’t keep up with the children in your own school.

It worked. I never got a call again.

    My Point?
Parents GET INVOLVED!! Believe it or not, school principals and teachers do NOT like to hear from the parents!!!
Go in a large group and walk into the Principal’s office without making an appointment.
