Ronald Wilson Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. He served as the 33rd Governor of California, and was a radio, film, and television actor. Reagan served as President of the Screen Actors Guild and later as a spokesman for General Electric when he began his start in politics as a member of the Democratic Party. Reagan’s positions began shifting rightward in the 1950s, and he switched to the Republican Party in 1962. He passed away on June 5, 2004 in Bel-Air, California.
