Eric Holder Resting After Health Scare

Attorney General Eric Holder is at home, according to reports, after being rushed to a Washington, D.C., hospital Thursday morning. He complained of faintness and shortness of breath during a meeting, though the potential cause of his symptoms has not been released.

Obama Press Secretary Jay Carney indicated his boss is receiving updates of the Justice Department head’s condition.

The 63-year-old reportedly never lost consciousness during the episode and was held at the hospital for a short time, where he was listed in good condition.

He responded to questions last year regarding the possibility of his retirement by suggesting that “fatigue” could be a factor in his decision. As long as he remains in his current position, however, Holder has committed himself to pursuing a number of goals including fighting for the restoration of voting rights for convicted felons.
