Marine Kicked Out Of Pizza Hut. The Reason Why Will Make Your Blood Boil

According to a Facebook post by a user calling himself Rick Libertas Semper, a popular pizza chain refused to serve him because he was wearing four patches signifying his service as a U.S. Marine. According to his profile, he lives in Green Bay, Wis.

“I decided to go to Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet after work and was approached by the manager who came to tell me that for the safety of the patrons and staff they do not allow people in the restaurant wearing gang colors,” he wrote.

Of course, according to his account, the only ‘gang’ his colors represent is the Marine Corps.

“I was wearing my black leather jacket that has 4 patches and the back of the jacket is embroidered,” he recalled. “One patch says USMC, the other patch says Marine Combat Veteran, the 3rd patch is the unit patch for 3rd Marines 3rd Batallion and there is a patch of the US flag on it.”

The back of his jacket, he explained, is covered by an embroidered USMC emblem.

“I pointed out that these are not gang colors but represent one of the branches of our military,” he wrote, explaining he is a veteran and has “earned the right to wear them.”

The manager, however, reportedly “said he can’t be expected to know” the difference between patches “so they just don’t allow any of them in the restaurant.”

The veteran recounted his experience as evidence that the “world is full of idiots,” though he recognized the incident was isolated and doesn’t necessarily represent the views of all Pizza Hut franchises.

In a response to his initial post, he wrote that he believes it was just a case of a “young manager trying to look like he was in control.”

Nevertheless, reports of companies treating veterans with disrespect continue to surface across the nation. Making matters worse, our government is not only shrinking our active military ranks; it is providing fewer and fewer resources for those returning with physical and mental needs.

Anyone can buy one of those stores. They are privately owned.
Star Bucks was blasting our Military. There were 3 carloads of us who went to our local Star Bucks. We did NOT go there to buy coffee. We filled out complaint forms as well as “snail mailing” complaints to home office.

WE WILL NO LONGER SHOP HERE. Our Military goes wherever he Commander in Chief of the Military sends them. Why don’t you try to addressing your complaints to Obama!

Well that’s another store I will not patronize, the boycott is on.

WildBill, be sure to let Star Bucks know the reason.
As the old saying goes, “Money Talks and B.S. Walks.”
Remember when the “All American Muslim” was going to air on TLC Cable TV?
That same carload of people went to Lowe’s (an advertiser” and filled out complaint forms. It was close to Christmas. They stopped advertising for them. By the time Christmas rolled around, the little towns around me here in Texas ALL went to Lowe’s to buy our Christmas Trees. By the time I got there, “3” days before Christmas…there were only two real green tress left. They were selling them at $2.00 (Two Dollars) each.

      The show never aired.

Bill! It does work! It especially works if 3 or more go in at one time.
    Then call the home office.

I found this helps too. Corporate heads and Governors do not read our letters. I know because I worked for the City of Dallas. I was the one responsible for opening the Director’s mail….I’d take care of most of it and only hand him the important mail that needed his direct attention.

I spotted this ONE envelope one day. The woman that wrote it was smart!
She hand printed “3” important points on the BACK of the ENVELOPE leaving adjectives because they make us think of what else we are ticked off about.

On the inside, you can go into more detail…it is still best to leave out adjectives. Make your points in black and white. Stick to a ONE page letter.

I have been invited to the Rick Perry’s Governor’s Ball when he won again here in Texas because I used that method.
