You Might Be Surprised By What Rob Schneider Just Said About Our Current Government. Will It Cost Him His Job?

schneiderA lighthearted radio interview featuring former Saturday Night Live star Rob Schneider took a decidedly serious turn when the topic switched to America’s future. The self-described “lifelong Democrat” recently announced his split with the party due to the current trajectory of its leaders and platform.

He expounded on his reasoning during an appearance on Philidelphia’s WPHT.

“Democracies don’t end well,” he said, suggesting America is near the end of an unparalleled era of freedom. “We are sliding very fast towards fascism. It’s an ugly kind of thing. There’s this kind of mob mentality that we have to careful of.”

Some industries, including his, are less tolerant of dissenting thought than others, he maintained.

“I do think you can look at government and go, ‘Wow, it’s out of control now’; and if you do criticize or tend to be not directly along a liberal stand, you can get murdered.”

He specifically blamed Barack Obama for exacerbating our society’s existing problems since his election.

“There’s not one segment of business under the Obama administration that hasn’t been hurt,” he concluded.

Schneider said Obama’s elitist views have led him to oppose a number of free market innovations – including for-profit schools – that could help Americans currently struggling under his economy.

Furthermore, he said the mainstream media is unwilling or unable to deliver the unadulterated truth to the public.

While he said he is not a conspiracy theorist, he cited a study recently conducted in Scandinavia regarding freedom of the press around the world.

“The press is owned by about eight different companies,” he said. “and doesn’t really … help the average American in my opinion.”

More and more Americans are realizing that, although leftism might sound good in theory, tyrannical leaders can expand those principles to curtail individual liberty across the board. Thankfully, prominent individuals like Schneider are willing to speak out against the ongoing attack on liberty, hopefully prompting voters to reconsider their allegiance to destructive politicians.
