Here’s Why This Democrat Stormed Out Of Prayer Event

For many Americans, religion and politics are irrevocably intertwined. Both subjects are ripe for contention, which is probably why discussing either in mixed company can be seen as impolite.

Some political issues – especially social ones like abortion – have direct ties to the faith-based values of the nation’s Christian majority. Therefore, it was perhaps understandable that, during a National Day of Prayer event this week in D.C., Focus on the Family Founder James Dobson spoke about the widespread murder of children in the womb.

“President Obama, before he was elected, made it very clear that he wanted to be the abortion president,” Dobson explained. “He didn’t make any bones about it.”

That assertion is bolstered by the praise Obama routinely receives from abortion leader Planned Parenthood – and the glowing endorsements he returns.

“This is something that he really was going to promote and support,” Dobson continued, “and he has done that, and in a sense he is the abortion president.”

hahnObama’s healthcare law mandates that approved policies cover abortions, which is something no other president has accomplished. His status as the “abortion president” seems fairly secure to millions of Americans on both sides of the issue.

Democrat U.S. Rep Janice Hahn, however, apparently thought Dobson’s statement was so outrageous that she could no longer remain at the event.

“James Dobson hijacked the National Day of Prayer … to promote his own distorted political agenda,” she claimed.

As he attempted to speak up for the most helpless among us, Hahn decided it was time to create a scene.

“He goes on about health care and … providing abortions, and at that point I stood up and I pointed my finger at Dr. Dobson and I said, ‘This is inappropriate!’ and walked out,” she said.

Not only do many believe the Christian leader’s comments were based on empirical evidence; he has stated that it would be sinful for him to ignore the systematic slaughter of America’s next generation.

“The Creator will not hold us guiltless if we turn a deaf ear to the cries of innocent babies,” he recently wrote in a widely circulated letter.

As a result of his advocacy, Dobson won a temporary injunction last month that ensures his ministry – at least for now – will not be required to provide abortifacient drugs under its healthcare plans.

It seems the “Truth” hurts. Most Democrats are starting to show what “atheists” they are, did they complain or make any bones about when their glorious leader cancelled the National Day of Prayer?. It lind of tells you something.
