Maybe the Chamber of Commerce has an excuse. As business people, they are greedy and merely interested in their bottom line. In this modern world, if they do destroy America, they have the wherewithal to move to a new host country to feast on. The newly legal “Americans” created by amnesty will work in their factories for minimum wages. How they vote is of no concern to the Chamber of Commerce.
They don’t live in homes that can be easily breached by marauders. Their children don’t go to government schools, so they won’t be forced to suffer the substandard education that waves of non-English speakers will bring about. Their livelihoods are not endangered by their demands for amnesty. Calling for amnesty actually buys them favorable press coverage. There is nothing to constrain them from being amnesty cheerleaders. They can buy the Republicans and get it.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), and The Evangelical Table, are harder to figure out. They are leading proponents of religion in America and presumably believe in all of the Ten Commandments. Those Commandments have always included an order from God that, “You shall not covet . . . anything that is your neighbor’s. . . . You shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”
Far too many of our religious leaders live at arm’s length from our illegal alien problem. They can’t seem to grasp that their calls for giving away things they don’t own is aiding and abetting those who covet their neighbor’s goods, house, and field. What the illegal hordes who sneak into our country are doing is blindingly clear: They are violating the Tenth Commandment.
What the USCCB is doing will produce millions of new Democrat voters who will ultimately bring about the destruction of the Catholic Church in America as they swamp Her under with demands for free stuff the local Democrats have run out of.
The Evangelical Table is a group of Evangelical leaders who ironically enough demand that their followers take a “Biblical” approach to the question of illegal aliens in our midst. They too want to overlook the Tenth Commandment and root for the elimination of our borders.
All of these groups appear to be like the man who, upon discovering a burglar who is stealing from his neighbor’s home, offers to hold the criminal’s flashlight to be thought of as a “good and helpful person.”
All of these groups are fueling America’s race to the bottom.
