Watch: Mob Of 20 Thugs Caught Clearing Out A Convenience Store

Police in Washington, D.C., have released surveillance footage from a local convenience store in hopes of catching the gang of criminals responsible for a recent robbery.

As the video shows, about 20 individuals can be clearly seen entering the business consecutively and, in short order, leaving with merchandise piled in their arms. Though the crime occurred about a month ago, police have yet to make any arrests; and the extent of damage and losses to the store remains unclear.

Instead of using force, it appears this gang of criminals was more interested in overpowering store staff with sheer numbers. The nation’s capital, which boasts some of America’s strictest gun laws, offers further proof that those with criminal intent will always find a way to achieve their goal.

Regardless of the laws on the books, though, events like the recent shooting near a D.C. zoo show that gun restrictions have little effect as a deterrent to those intent on causing mayhem. That incident was believed to have been caused by a 14-year-old gang member who shot into a crowd gathered near the destination, injuring two other teens.

The so-called ‘flash mob’ robbery of the convenience store in northern D.C. is not unprecedented. As authorities in Southern California reported last month, eight women bombarded a Camarillo sunglass store and made off with more than $20,000 in merchandise.
