Pro-Abortion Groups Go Wild For This New ‘Comedy’ Movie

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Jenny Slate, who was cut from the show after just one season, is back as the star of a brand new comedy movie being heralded by abortion activists in Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and other anti-life groups.

The film, ‘Obvious Child,’ follows the exploits of a comedienne who feels the need to murder her growing child after a night of unprotected sex. Writer and director Gillian Robespierre said she intends the film to be an answer to other films – like ‘Knocked Up’ and ‘Juno’ – which featured unplanned pregnancies actually ending with the birth of a child.

She complained such movies are nothing but a “misrepresentation of women on screen when it came to unplanned pregnancy,” suggesting that the idea that women might want to give a developing life a chance to survive “just didn’t feel true.”

Slate weighed in, suggesting ‘Obvious Child’ is “not an agenda movie in any way.”

Instead, she insisted, the “whole point” of the movie is that “women have this procedure … and it’s a part of life.”

Concluding that murdering one’s own offspring is a part of life, however, might strike some as an agenda.

Nevertheless, proponents of the deadly ‘procedure’ did not waste any time reacting to the film that seems to affirm the reason for their existence.

Far-left media outlets gushed over the film, with one feminist site’s review declaring it “the modern romantic comedy we’ve been so desperately waiting for.”

Jezebel, another feminist blog, gave away 50 free passes.

Perhaps the most disturbing endorsements came from the very organizations that facilitate abortion. Twitter served as a forum for Planned Parenthood and NARAL representatives to tout the film’s ostensible merit. According to reports, the former served as a sounding board for filmmakers interested in portraying abortion in a positive light.

While it is unlikely ‘Obvious Child’ will break any box office records with its largely unknown cast and deeply divisive storyline, it is clear that those who live to celebrate dead babies are going out of their way to promote this movie.
