WATCH: Hillary Clinton Struggles To Defend Actions In Benghazi

The normally confident and defiant Hillary Clinton took a hit on Monday night during her interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer when the subject of Benghazi came up.

Sawyer put Clinton on the hot seat over her role in the Benghazi attack, and asked her if she thought she could have done more to prevent the tragedy that took four American lives:

Sawyer: Did you miss the moment to prevent this from happening?

Clinton: No, but I think as the independent board that investigated every aspect of this, including all the cables concluded, there was a lack of appreciation and response to the level of threat.

Sawyer: Is there anything you personally should have been doing to make it safer in Benghazi?

Clinton: What I did was give very direct instructions that the people who have the expertise and experience in security… I’m not equipped to sit and look at blueprints, to determine where the blast walls need to be, or where the reinforcements need to be. That’s why we hire people who have that expertise.

She may have been Secretary of State; but she doesn’t want to be held accountable, or responsible, for her actions. When it comes to making sure Americans are safe overseas, that’s someone else’s job.
