99 percent of the substance of Hillary Clinton’s interviews have been safe and unremarkable. The other one percent, however, is what is getting all the attention.
First, there was the lament that she and Bill were “dead broke” after leaving the White House and had trouble affording mortgages for their houses.
“Coming from Hillary Clinton, someone extremely animated about inequality and middle class fairness, this could not be any more dissonant,” says MSNBC host Krystal Ball.
Later in the video, Ball labels her “Kinda tone deaf, and unrelatable.”
“She exudes competence, but no core belief. And it seemed like the real answer to why she was running for President was simply because she just wanted to be President.”
