New documents added to WikiLeaks leaked United States embassy cables revealed that China has been selling missiles and parts to Iran, Syria, and Pakistan in violation of its agreement with the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).

MTCR was formed in 1987 as an informal, voluntary partnership of 34 countries to prevent the export of long-range weapons of mass destruction to hostile nations. China is not a member but has assured the members it will support the group’s policy of missile non-proliferation. China has not been allowed to join the MTCR because of its non-existent export controls. China has not signed nor agreed to the UN’s “Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.” China always says the right things but has a difficult time honoring its own words.

In election years, candidates inevitably promise voters they will do more than their opponents. In practice that usually means increased debt-spending and expanding unconstitutional encroachments on liberty. Now one Republican presidential candidate has doubled-down on the most blatantly illegal action of this presidency, saying Barack Obama has not gone far enough in waging war-by-decree in Libya — and those who want to follow the Constitution are bead-wearing hippies bent on dragging America down in disgrace.

On Tuesday, former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty gave what he dubbed a “major” foreign policy speech to the Council on Foreign Relations. In it, Pawlenty pouted, “parts of the Republican Party now seem to be trying to out-bid the Democrats in appealing to isolationist sentiments.”

“America already has one political party devoted to decline, retrenchment, and withdrawal,” he said. “It does not need a second one.”

He fleshed out what he meant in the speech — calling on Obama to “commit America’s strength to removing Ghadafi” and recognize the rebels as Libya’s legitimate government. During a question-and-answer session afterward, TPaw agreed with President Obama that the War Powers Resolution “does not apply” to the war in Libya.

In March, Pawlenty told students at Vanderbilt University that getting Congressional authorization for a war, as required by the Constitution and the resolution, is “a very complex matter and it’s not something that lends itself to an easy answer.” He added, “we need to make sure we don’t tie the executive or the commander in chief’s hands so tightly that he or she can’t respond in an emergency quickly or in a situation that deserves and needs a quick response.” Pawlenty told the CFR on Tuesday he would consult with Congress “as a courtesy and gesture of respect.”

His speech and his attack on his fellow Republicans raises (at least) 15 questions this author would like to ask Gov. Pawlenty:

You have stated the War Powers Resolution does not apply to the war in Libya. However, the administration’s best lawyers disagreed with your assessment. Attorney General Eric Holder reportedly sided with them. The highest legal scholar in the administration to hold to your view is Harold Koh, who advocates “transnationalist jurisprudence,” who once branded the United States a member of the “axis of disobedience,” and who often co-authors articles with members of the Center for Constitutional Rights — a pro-terrorist legal house founded by Marxists. How can a self-identified “conservative” find himself to the Left of Eric Holder? If elected, will you rely on the advice of Koh or others of his ideology?
The Founding Fathers clearly placed the war-making power in the hands of Congress alone — in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution as well as their deliberations before its passage and their practice following its adoption. Since the Constitution has not been amended, what legal precedent do you believe suspended and nullified the Founders’ intentions?
Since you do not believe Congressional authorization is necessary to initiate hostilities, at what point, if any, would you consider Congressional authorization necessary to continue military interventions abroad in which American personnel or weapons were killing or attempting to kill foreign nationals (referred to as “hostilities” in the War Powers Resolution)?

Why Obama Really Started the Libyan War

Anyone seeking to know why Barack Obama really committed U.S. troops to Libya’s civil war can begin by dismissing virtually everything he said in his speech Monday night out of hand. For instance, Obama claimed he initiated this military action for humanitarian reasons. Failing “our responsibilities to our fellow human beings…would have been a betrayal of who we are,” he said. “Some nations may be able to turn a blind eye to atrocities in other countries. The United States of America is different.”

However, in July 2007 the Associated Press reported, “Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Thursday the United States cannot use its military to solve humanitarian problems and that preventing a potential genocide in Iraq isn’t a good enough reason to keep U.S. forces there.”

Consider: in July 2007, Obama was discussing a war already in progress, one Osama bin Laden called “the most important and serious issue for the whole world today.” America’s most wanted terrorist called Baghdad “the capital of the caliphate” and said the Iraq war will result in, “either victory and glory or misery and humiliation.” Yet just as the surge and a series of agreements with northern tribal leaders began pacifying the country, Barack Obama said the Helpless Giant should turn the country over to the jihadists and stand by as they systematically exterminated our allies. (As president, he has conspicuously failed to take his own advice.) Today, he claims our vital national security interests demand that we take sides in an internecine feud between factions of pro-terrorist Muslims.

Why does the president really support the action in Libya?

1. It serves no U.S. interests.

For most Americans, the fact that a war in no way promotes U.S. interests would be a prima facie argument against initiating it. For left-wingers, the less our nation has to gain from a war, the more apt they are to support it. Liberals are afflicted with irrational guilt over privileges they believe Americans enjoy due to exploitation and militarism. These impulses can only be quieted through irrational acts of self-sacrifice on behalf of those who disregard, dislike, or actively hate us. Thus, liberals view “humanitarian” wars as a means of righting the wrongs their ancestors perpetrated over scores of generations – consider it a form of “redistribution of bloodshed.”

Consider Barack Obama’s statement that “as president, I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action.” That eerily echoed a section of George W. Bush’s opening salvo against Iraq in his 2002 State of the Union Address….

Libya: Operation Unconstitutional Idiocy

What’s even more absurd and futile than going to war to spread democracy and advance human rights? Intervention to stop regimes from “killing their own people.”

This is the sole rationale offered for Obama’s Libya excursion (Operation Odyssey Dawn even sounds like a Carnival Cruise ship) – to keep a tyrant from killing his own people.

British Prime Minister David Cameron declares: “Colonel Gaddafi has made this happen. We can not allow the slaughter of civilians to continue.”

While criticizing the way the mission was undertaken (and telling the president he “must do a better job of communicating to the American people”), House Speaker John Boehner – de facto chairman of the Obama Reelection Campaign – nevertheless insists….

Clapper Is (Half-)Right: China Is A Threat

While briefing the US Senate Committee about Worldwide threats, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper was asked by Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, on which country is the greatest threat to America. In Gen Clapper’s assessment was that Russia and China are the greatest threats.

Their nuclear arsenals do pose a mortal threat to the U.S. mainland. However, the DNI did point out that the U.S. does have a Nuclear Treaty with Russia but not with China.

The Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) is an arms reduction treaty between the United States and Russia. Like it or not it is still in effect.The DNI doesn’t believe the Russians have no desire to have a nuclear exchange with us. According to Clapper, “We have a treaty, the New START treaty, with the Russians. I guess I would rank them a little lower because we don’t have such a treaty with the Chinese.”

The Chinese have no desire to negotiate a treaty with the United States….

Obama: Impeach and Convict Now!

During the Clinton presidency, after just a few years of mounting scandal, including the Chinagate affair – where the Bonnie and Clyde of American politics, “Bill and Hill,” illegally laundered millions of dollars in contributions to their legal-defense fund and the president’s re-election campaign coffers – Howard Phillips of The Conservative Caucus and I rounded up a group of other conservatives, the so-called “great right-wing conspiracy,” and asked then-Rep. Bob Barr, a Republican from Georgia, to introduce articles of impeachment. Bob heeded the call and dutifully did so. It was clear at the time that the nation was on the verge of a crisis – as the president and first lady had subverted the Constitution in a number of ways (documented in my book Whores)…

While I firmly believe that Obama, Hillary Clinton, and many Democrats around them have been, as in Chinagate more than a decade earlier, bribed by foreign regimes – such as the radical Islamic regime in Iran – I cannot prove it at this time. However, from what has already occurred, the offenses of the “mullah in chief” are “already” so compelling as to warrant immediate impeachment and conviction for his high crimes and misdemeanors, before the United States is totally destroyed by him…

Here is just a partial list of the most impeachable and convictable of President Obama’s offenses:

First, there is his recent refusal to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, which allows states that do not perform gay marriages to refuse to honor homosexual marriages performed in other states. To disobey a law enacted by Congress amounts to a subversion of our Constitution.

Second, there is Obama’s treasonous act of sanctioning a complaint, filed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before the U.N. Human Rights Commission, against the state of Arizona for its enacting of S.B. 1070, the anti-illegal immigration legislation the president also attacked in federal court. This is the same Human Rights Commission that has had as members a variety of terrorist states, such as Libya and Cuba.

Third, there is Obama’s visceral hatred and subversion of the state of Israel, whose national security interests are so closely tied to our own. His recent invitation to the Muslim Brotherhood, the granddaddy of terrorist groups bent on destroying the Jewish state, to join the new Egyptian government not only amounts to a dagger in the side of Israeli security, but American security as well….

Obviously, there is a major difference between Iran and Egypt, but, when the young people Iran crowded the streets demanding freedom in 2009, Barry “Obama” Soetoro was mum. When the Egyptians came out en mass, Barry told the Egyptian government leaders to step down. Mubarek must go, but, nobody better mess with Ahmadinejad.

Back in June of 2009, when I protested with Iranians here in Oklahoma City, against the Islamic oppression and election fraud in Tehran, when we shouted “Down with religion, Up with democracy!” on the capitol streets in OKC, I remember an Iranian woman said to me, “You know, I’m really sorry I voted for Obama. Bush would have helped!”

One thing the world knows now: Obama will not help. Obama will do nothing. Hope and change are not connected with him. Iranian youth learned their lesson. He’s not for them.

Barry “Obama” Soetoro is a complete fraud, a most vomitous concentration of self-interest and racist hatred against all things white. There is nothing more to him that that. His skin is simply used by the oedipal white liberal globalists. To achieve goal of the overthrough of America, Barry enthusiastically invites the world’s animosity toward America, particularly white America–white Christian America…

Barry “Obama” Soetoro is a mere conduit for the white oedipal liberal globalists. They have rewarded him handsomely, of course. He was the perfect puppet, immune to prosecution because of his black skin…[O]ur noble congressmen can’t even bring themselves to say the word “impeachment.” The Constitution says the House has sole power of impeachment (Article I, Sec. 2, par. 5), and so-called Republicans have complete control over the House! I say, of them, traitors every one. There is no other conclusion to make.

The highest political offices in the United States are mere personal, professional opportunities. The offices have little to do with the well-being of America. Barry is the blackhead of a giant pustule of personal aggrandizement. He came about because of the established infection. He isn’t the cause, but the piquant symptom. Nothing more.

That’s why there is no prosecution or impeachment. Congress is driven by the same spirit that’s in Barry. There are only illusions of propriety, manipulations of subjective justice, and pretentions of right doing…

The “New World Order” really does appear to be the agenda behind all others.

Hugo Chavez, the yanqui-hating dictator of Venezuela, will not accept Washington’s proposed emissary and has dared the United States to break diplomatic relations. It seems Ambassador-select Larry Palmer’s sin is that he did not applaud Chavez when he used his rubber-stamp parliament to perpetuate his dictatorial regime. The State Department’s limp-wristed response was to cancel the visa of the Venezuelan ambassador. That, and silence from the White House, told the megalomaniac in Caracas exactly what the United States will do when Iran finishes building a nuclear missile base in Venezuela — absolutely nothing.

Like Marxist Fidel Castro was in the 1960s, Caudillo Chavez is today’s darling of American liberals and the international left. They are enchanted with his underclass roots, his anti-imperialist posturing, and insults he hurls at the United States in media shows that are crowd-pleasing combinations of Keith Olbermann rants and videos of “The Big Guy from Brooklyn.” More ominously, Chavez has imitated Castro, and like Fidel he has found a big brother to give him the nuclear military clout to dominate Latin America: The Islamic Republic of Iran.

Obama to Visit Mosque Where Crowd Cheered Ahmadinejad

President Barack Obama was scheduled to spend his Wednesday in Indonesia visiting Jakarta’s massive Istiqlal Mosque and then giving a speech on the “pluralism and tolerance” of his host country at the University of Indonesia.

It is both ironic and instructive that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad not only made the same stops on a trip to Indonesia four years ago, but was greeted, according to press reports, as a “rock star.”

At the university, Ahmadinejad gave a speech that cast doubt on the holocaust, predicted the destruction of Israel and yearned aloud for a day when the entire world would submit to Shariah law.

Later, he told a group of Indonesia’s top clerics that every young Muslim man was an “atomic bomb.” When Ahmadinejad attended the Friday prayer service at the Istiqlal Mosque, the congregation greeted him with a chant of “God is great” and a crowd gathered outside sent him off with a lusty cheer of “Fight America, fight Israel.”

In an Oct. 28 White House briefing, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes set the stage for Obama’s Indonesian trip by announcing that the president would first visit the Istiqlal Mosque and follow that visit with a speech to the Indonesian people that would “talk about some of the themes of democracy and development and our outreach to Muslim communities around the world, while also speaking of Indonesia’s pluralism and tolerance, as well.”
