The NAACP is Watching You

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Matthew Boyle, Daily Caller

The NAACP partnered with Media Matters, Think Progress and New Left Media to launch teapartytracker.org, a website that will specifically publish and monitor “racism and other forms of extremism within the Tea Party movement.”

Media Matters and Think Progress representatives said their content and reporting haven’t changed and that the NAACP approached their organizations seeking only to republish select content they’ve produced. The NAACP’s new teapartytracker.org is aimed specifically at highlighting “racism” in the Tea Party.

New Left Media, the duo of Chase Whiteside and Erick Stoll who use a “Trojan trick” to get interviews with Tea Partiers, is also a partner organization on the new site.

As for what Media Matters, New Left Media, Think Progress and the NAACP plan to do with teapartytracker.org, Think Progress editor Faiz Shakir and Media Matters Vice President for Research and Communications Ari Rabin-Havt said the NAACP contacted them about sharing content related to the Tea Party.

Shakir said the website isn’t meant to attack the Tea Party, only to “hold it accountable.”

“When they display intolerance and the kinds of racial signs that we’ve seen and the kinds of angry rhetoric, there’s nobody pushing back on that rhetoric or to check the record or fact-check it,” Shakir said. “I think it [the website] should be viewed in light of the NAACP being opposed to the intolerant elements of the Tea Party.”

Obama Supporters’ New Slogan: “F— the Tea Party!”

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit

First the left introduced the Coffee Party.
Then they introduced the Cocoa Party.
Then last month the left came out with yet another astroturfed group to counter the tea party… “One Nation.”
Now it’s the “F*ck tea” movement.

Obama linked to Fraudulent Tea Party Smear Video

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Yesterday Bob Owens at Big Government reported that Think Progress, a far left blog, used manufactured tea party signs to create a video tagging Tea Party members as racist:

Do you remember the abortive “Crash the Tea Party” movement? It was the brainchild of a liberal that explicitly called for progressives to commit fraud in order to attempt to discredit the Tea Party protests.

At Pajamas Media we covered the abortive effort extensively, and made note of the very real bigotry the Crashers unwittingly revealed… in themselves.

This morning, I came across this video from Think Progress:

…Think Progress stitches together a series of posters they claim belong to Tea Party protesters.

    Really, Think Progress?

Did you not think we’d remember the amusing signs your fellow liberals created for their little abortive “Crash the Tea Party” stunt in Boston? Let’s just say that some were more amusing than others, and some just showed pathetic and angry progressives often are.

There is an old saying that you’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

Early Today Jim Hoft  at Gateway Pundit connected the dots and traced the video straight back to…guess who? Obama!

So why would a leftist website put out such an obviously doctored video in order to smear the tea party movement?

The Center for American Progress(CAP) is a George Soros-funded initiative. It was founded by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta. Think Progress is one of the CAP’s blogs that “provides a forum that advances progressive ideas and policies.”

According to Discover the Networks, after Barack Obama was elected President in 2008, CAP served as perhaps the most influential organization advising the new administration. Among Obama’s leading advisers were John Podesta and at least ten additional CAP experts.

Last week the NAACP announced that they would pass a resolution that calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.” Two days later Think Progress released its fraudulent “racist” tea party video.

It makes you think that these radical leftist groups might be coordinating their attacks on the tea party patriots… possibly from the White House. Now, wouldn’t that be shocking?
    No.

It seems that with Obama’s support quickly failing, the White House believes its only option to save the November elections for the Democrats is to smear the Tea Party as racist.

And hey, if it has to be a little fraudulent and a little manufactured, why not? Its for the good of the people.

Obama’s midterm election strategy: Mock ‘Tea Party’ members?

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

By Jimmy Orr, LA Times

Obama is now mocking a a group of concerned citizens

Even diehard Obama supporters had to cringe this past week. Had to.

At least when Joe Effing Biden puts his foot in his mouth, everyone gets a laugh out of it, and it’s chalked up to Joe Biden being the crazy uncle of the White House. Uncle Fester with hair (kinda).

But when President Obama inserted both feet in his mouth last week, Republican campaign consultants started salivating. And you could chalk it up to Christmas in April.

It’s one thing to be confident. It’s another to be cocky.

When Michael Jordan toyed with Bryon Russell, that was confidence. When President Obama toyed with the "tea party," that was cocky. The "tea party" is no Bryon Russell. In fact, recent polls paint a portrait of tea party supporters as your neighbors. And other polls indicate most Americans now preferring Hillary Clinton over the ex-state senator.

Obama’s Wild Ride

Friday, March 12th, 2010

By Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, Expose Obama

Obama says it’s good, America says it’s no good

Mr. Obama’s term in office is like Disney’s Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. His reckless policies and actions cause destruction to whatever he touches. He needs to be stopped.

Obama and his special-interest allies, especially his lap-dog media, are doing everything they can to keep government growing and eroding our rights. If ordinary people like us don’t stand up and continue the rebellion, Washington will soon forget the discontent in the hinterlands.

Recently on MSNBC, Dylan Ratigan assailed Mark Williams of the Tea Party Express. In the midst of Rattigan’s angry rant about the supposed anger, racism and anti-Semitism in the Tea Party movement, the MSNBC host revealed who actually has the anger problem. Williams calmly explained that Tea Parties have nothing to do with racism; Rattigan responded by shouting him down and cutting Williams’ microphone.

The Tea Party movement ignited a blaze; now the political left is doing their best to disparage the movement. Reportedly, even Bill Clinton is personally attacking the leaders of the Tea Party movement. Anyone who watches cable television knows that the left is marshalling their forces.

The problem for these media allies of Obama lies in their refusal to accept the simple truth that Americans actually believe in the U.S. Constitution. They constantly push stories about organizations aligned with their viewpoint. The Washington Post and The New York Times, for example, have devoted intensive coverage to an online group named the Coffee Party. This group, run by a former Obama staffer, is nothing other than an attempt by leftists to counteract the Tea Parties. Their coverage neglected to mention anything about the Obama connection.

The media paint Tea Partiers as radical, but average Americans see through this bias. A recent survey by the Sam Adams Alliance vindicated Tea Party leaders and showed that these Americans are not radicals, they are just individuals who are becoming politically active, many for the first time. Their motivation is a feeling that government is spinning out of control.

The Tea Party movement must not falter in the face of these attacks. It is time to advance, not compromise.

The groundwork is set for a massive return to fiscal responsibility and government that abides within its constitutional framework. Fiscal conservatives have won in New Jersey, Virginia, and even in Massachusetts. Voters have overwhelmingly rejected government takeover of the healthcare system and the bailout culture in Washington, D.C. This is a rare opportunity for “we the people” to take back our government.

Anti-Washington, D.C. sentiment is at an all time high, as the recent primary election in Texas illustrates. Texans overwhelmingly supported Gov. Rick Perry based on his campaign against Washington, D.C. and federal encroachment. Voters are so opposed to the back-room deals and political chicanery that even President Obama is now trying to cast himself as the outsider.

In reality, Obama is one of the prime culprits. From his close relationships with lobbyists, his attempts to bribe certain Democrats not to run primary campaigns, his firing of independent investigators, his penchant for pork-laden projects to curry votes, and finally, his recently appointing a Congressman’s brother to the federal bench in a blatant attempt to buy a vote, Obama has shown that he epitomizes what is wrong with Washington.

This year could usher in a new era of responsible and constitutional governance. We need to elect people who will truly make a change in Washington. And then we need to stay involved and hold elected officials accountable for promises made.

Reagan needed a Carter, Gingrich needed a Clinton, and the Tea Party has Obama. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for freedom-loving individuals to restore our government to its constitutional limitations.

If we had predicted that a year after Obama was elected a Republican would be elected in Massachusetts, you would have called us crazy. This is our time. It is time for Obama’s wild, destructive ride to end. What are you going to do between now and November to win back our government?

Obama’s top aide: Need ’simple booklet’ to educate tea partiers

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

By Aaron Klein, World Net Daily

Obama's Advisers attack tea partiers

A simple booklet explaining President Obama’s health care and economic policies may help those in the tea party movement better understand White House initiatives, suggested Valerie Jarrett, one of Obama’s closest advisers.

Jarrett blasted the tea party movement as an “anti-government” organization that thrives on scare tactics.

Jarrett made the comments last week at a John F. Kennedy School of Government forum.

At the event, an audience member compared the tea party movement and anger at Obama’s policies with people who initially resisted computers because of their “failure to understand” the new technology. The questioner explained simple booklets eventually helped to educate the public on computers. He asked Jarrett whether “much simpler” booklets could be produced for tea party supporters.

75% Are Angry At Government’s Current Policies

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Rasmussen Reports

Many people are upset with Obama's big government policies

Voters are madder than ever at the current policies of the federal government.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 75% of likely voters now say they are at least somewhat angry at the government’s current policies, up four points from late November and up nine points since September. The overall figures include 45% who are Very Angry, also a nine-point increase since September.

Just 19% now say they’re not very or not at all angry at the government’s policies, down eight points from the previous survey and down 11 from September. That 19% includes only eight percent (8%) who say they’re not angry at all and 11% who are not very angry.

Part of the frustration is likely due to the belief of 60% of voters that neither Republican political leaders nor Democratic political leaders have a good understanding of what is needed today. That finding is identical to the view last September, just after the tumultuous congressional town hall meetings the month before. But only 52% felt this way in November.
